Welcome! My name is Jocelyn Kehler. I have been dedicated to the care and wellbeing of people for over 25 years. I have worked as a professional counsellor in Brandon, MB since 2012. Previous to my counselling career, I worked as a Registered Nurse in a variety of clinical areas including Orthopedics, Palliative Care, Neurological and Orthopedic Rehabilitation, and Home Health Care. I am proud to offer my clients quality therapeutic counselling support that has been enhanced and enriched from having worked so many years in the fields of mental health and healthcare.
Each person is unique, as are the circumstances of their lives. As such, I believe that there is no ‘One Size Fits All’ counselling approach that works for everyone. To better support clients in achieving their counselling goals, I employ a variety of evidence-based strategies from several different theoretical approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Reality Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, and Emotion-Focused Couples Counselling. By connecting clients with a variety of strategies and techniques suited to their particular needs and concerns, I am better able to support them in fulfilling their desire to feel better and to have a better life.
